The DeWalt orbital sander (Model DWE6421K) is a very lightweight and nimble device that enables you to get in close to the area that you are sanding and gain greater control over the sanding job. Because it’s quite small and light, it is also great for sanding in confined spaces or near edges and corners. We rated it the most maneuverable sander out of those we tested. More recently, we have also given this particular sander the esteemed accolade of being the best random orbital sander under $100.
Durable Design
The Dewalt dwe6421k random orbital sander has been designed specifically for longevity with rubber over-mold on all of its critical areas to prevent dust from getting inside the sander, a dust-sealed switch, and a separate counterweight design that reduces the amount of vibration produced by the orbital sander.
Easy Velcro Attachment System
The Dewalt 5″ orbital sander uses velcro, or as it’s sometimes known, the hook and loop system, for attaching sanding pads to the device. This makes for very easy attachment and removal of pads whilst also ensuring they stay firmly attached to the device whilst sanding is in progress.
Efficient Dust Collection
The DeWalt orbit sander comes with a dust collection bag that helps collect all the dust from sanding work. During our Dewalt d26451 review, we found this bag to be very efficient at collecting dust compared to many of the other orbital sanders that we tested. The other great thing about the DeWalt d26451 orbital sander is the one-hand locking system on the dust bag – this makes it easy to attach the bag and remove and empty it once it gets full.
